Congress favour formation of govt on its own: Kharge
Bangalore, Oct 28 (UNI) Rejecting the claim of JD(S) that it was trying to split the party, Congress today said it preferred to form a government in Karnataka on its own, with the help of other legislators who believed in the principles of the party, KPCC President Mallikarjuna Kharge said today.
Speaking to news persons after meeting Governor Rameshwar Thakur he said the party opposed formation of another BJP-JD(S) government in the state and sought the Governor to reject the claim of the two parties who were trying to come together again.
"The new move by Mr Kumaraswamy to extend JD(S) support to the BJP again was an unethical and nothing but opportunistic politics.
We have requested the Governor not to allow this and take into consideration JD(S) President H D Devegowda's earlier letter to the Prime Minister seeking immediate dissolution of the Assembly," he added.
