Rickshaw puller arrested for rape, murder of six-yr-old girl

New Delhi, Oct 27 (UNI) The Delhi police has arrested a rickshaw puller for the rape and murder of a six-year-old girl in Southwest Delhi.

Sanjay Kumar (23), lured the victim by offering to buy her a samosa and then took her to an isolated place where he sexually assaulted her and then crushed her head with a brick.

The body of the girl was recovered by the police yesterday afternoon from a vacant plot in Kapashera.

The investigation led the police to Sanjay, who is said to known to the victim's father, and who was reported to have taken the child on Thursday before she went missing.

On interrogation, Sanjay admitted to have committed the crime. He said after sexually assaulting the girl, he crushed her head with a brick fearing she would identify him.
