Police rescues civilian from militants in Kashmir
Srinagar, Oct 27 (UNI) The Jammu and Kashmir Police today claimed to have rescued a youth from the clutches of militants after he was abducted two days ago.
They said police rescued a civilian who was kidnapped by the militants from the general area of Rangwar forests in Kupwara district of north Kashmir two day ago.
As the rescue party reached the forest area, the militants fired on the police personnel, resulting in injuries to a civilian and a constable, Altaf Ahmad.
Both the wounded have been hospitalised. Police have registered a case in this regard. The search of the area was still in progress.
