Mother, two children attempt suicide before AP Secretariat
Hyderabad, Oct 27 (UNI) A three member family today attempted suicide by consuming sleeping tablets before the Andhra Pradesh Secretariat after they were denied entry by the security to meet the Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhra Reddy.
Police said Rajyalaxmi, her son Premchand and daughter Amala, hailing from Nellore district, came to Hyderabad to bring the issue of her husband Chandrasekhar's 'missing' since ten days to the notice of Dr Reddy.
When they were not allowed to meet Dr Reddy, the trio consumed sleeping pills. The secuirty forces immediately rushed them to nearby hospital. They were undergoing treatment and their condition was stated to be stable.
Mr Chandrasekhar was working as lab assistant in Nellore. Even as the family members had lodged a complaint with the police about his missing, the police were not taking action on their complaint, they alleged.
