Groom, bride abducted from marriage ceremony rescued

Hardoi, Oct 27 (UNI) Police today rescued a groom, his bride and kin from the clutches of abductors in Kanth area of Shahjahanpur district.

According to police, 16 armed assailants had kidnapped Sultanpur resident Rajiv along with his bride Bittan and three others during nuptial ceremony at Panchdevra village here last night.

On being tipped off, police rescued the victims this afternoon.

The accused managed to escape.

A manhunt had been launched.
