Corporation Bank Q2 net up 27.06 pc

New Delhi, Oct 27: Corporation Bank today said its net profit increased by 27.06 per cent to Rs 161.38 crore for the quarter ended September 30, as compared to Rs 127.01 crore for the same period a year ago.

Company's tTotal income also jumped by 33.98 per cent to Rs 1246.93 crore for the quarter ended September 30, against Rs 930.64 crore for Q2 FY2006-07, a company statement said.

Corporation Bank and Usectrade.com, the online trading portal of UTI Securities Ltd, recelty entered into a strategic tie-up under which the bank will serve as a major distribution channel for the portal.
