Bomb threat calls keep police on toes
Chennai, Oct 27 (UNI) Police and Bomb Detection Squad personnel were on their toes since last night, following two anonymous bomb threat calls, which, however, proved to be hoax.
Police sources said while one anonymous call was received at Chennai Police control room, stating that bombs would explode at Mambalam Railway station last night, the other call was received at an IT Park at Ekkattuthaangal near Guindy this morning.
Police and bomb detection squad made a thorough search of the IT Park Olympia Tech Park premises after the employees came out rushing. However, no explosives were found.
Searches were also carried out at Mambalam Railway Station, which too turned out to be a hoax.
