60 meritorious students feted by Dhirubhai Ambani Foundation
Rajkot, Oct 27 (UNI) Sixty meritorious students from Saurashtra and Kutch regions were today felicitated by the Dhirubhai Ambani Foundation at a simple function here.
Inspector General of Police (IGP) of Rajkot Range V V Rabari and Wockhardt Hospital's Dr Kamal Parikh were the chief guests on the occasion.
Dr Parikh delivered a theme talk on ''Students Participation in Social Service''.
Dr Parikh advised the students to follow the eight D's to achieve the goal in life -- Dynamic, Discipline, Dedication, Down-to-earth, Disciple, Daring, Decisive and Distinctive.
Mr Rabari, speaking on the occasion, advised the students to take some responsibility towards society while studying and spare some time for social work.
The objective of Dhirubhai Ambani Foundation is to inculcate sense of responsibility towards society amongst students. Large number of students, their paernts and teachers attended the function.
The first three meritorious students and one under the physically challenged category from each of the districts of Rajkot, Porbandar, Diu, Amreli, Kutch, Jamnagar, Junagadh and Bhavnagar in the SSC and HSC examinations, received Dhirubhai Ambani SSC Merit Reward or the the Undergraduate Scholarship at the function.
