Rs 50,000 robbed from jewellery shop

Thane, Oct 26 (UNI) Three robbers today robbed Rs 50,00 from a jewellery shop at Dapode village in Bhiwandi town of Thane district and injured its shopkeeper, police here said.

They said the trio rammed their motorbikes into the shop at around 2030 hrs and threatened the shopkeeper.

One of the robbers fired at the shopkeeper, police said and added that he had been hospitalised.

The robbers later fled the scene, they said.
