UT Admn. to start coaching programme for students of weaker sections

Chandigarh, Oct 25 (UNI) The Chandigarh Administration will start a Special Coaching Programme for students of economically weaker sections in order to uplift and empower them.

This programme would be for all students of industrial training institutes, Government Polytechnic for Women, Central Crafts Institute and CCET (Diploma Wing).

The mission of the programme is to enable students to compete with others, by imparting valuable training in personality development, skill up-gradation, communication skills, and general awareness.

The classes would be run after teaching hours and continue for the duration of 3 months. Participation and experience certificate would be issued to the students.

A committee consisting of Joint Secretary, Technical Education, DPI (School) and Director Higher Education has been set up to work out the details of the programme.
