Three killed, 31 injured in two road accidents
Chennai, Oct 25 (UNI) Three people were killed and 31 others injured in two separate road accidents in Tamil Nadu today.
Police said a lorry carrying a marriage party plunged into a river at Pallipattu in Tiruvallur district, killing two persons and injuring 30 others.
The mishap occurred when the driver lost control of the vehicle while trying to avoid hitting two goats.
In another accident, one woman was killed and the driver sustained injuries when the Chennai-bound car collided with a private bus near Vellai Gate flyover near Kanchipuram on the Chennai-Banglore National Highway.
The deceased was identified as Vijayalakshmi (50), police added.
