Seven people killed and 21 injured in two road mishaps

Bangalore, Oct 25 (UNI) Seven people, including a woman and a child, were killed and 18 others injured in two different road mishaps in Karnataka Today.

Police said that four people were killed and one person injured when a tomato-laden tempo rammed into a stationery truck near Soolibele, on the outskirts of the City in the early hours.

The incident occurred at about 0400 hours near Chokkanahalli gate when the tempo rammed into the stationed truck. while Bayyareddy (40), Konappa (22), Venktarayappa (32) and Oam (55) were killed on the spot, the driver, who sustained serious injuries, was admitted to Government Hospital.

In another incident three people, including a woman and her one-year-old child, were killed and 17 others sustained injuries when a jeep in which they were traveling was hit by a speeding truck near Benakal, in Gangavathi Taluk of Koppal District about 600 km from here.

The injured were admitted to Government Hospitals in Bellary and Gangavathi.
