PHED officials threatens stir to protest kidnappings

Imphal, Oct 25 (UNI) The Manipur Public Health and Engineering Department (PHED ) under the aegis of State Workers and Employees Organisation have threatened to launch a stir if three engineers kidnapped by suspected Kuki Revolutionary Army (KRA) were not released.

Organisation general secretary N Nanao here today said the stir will start soon.

Three PHED officials were kidnapped by KRA cadres on October 12 last.

Mr Nanao also informed that sit in protests were continuing in front of the PHED office demanding the release of the abducted officials.
