Oil production slips marginally to 2.79 mmt in September

New Delhi, Oct 25 (UNI) Crude oil output in September declined marginally by 0.7 per cent to 2.79 million metric tonnes (mmt) from 2.81 mmt tonnes a year earlier, government data today showed.

Compared to the month of August, production dropped by 2.85 per cent from 2.87 mmt.

The cumulative production for the period of April-September, 2007 increased by 0.7 per cent to 16.94 mmt from 16.82 mmt in April-September, 2006.
