Muslim youths selected for training under Infosys
Hyderabad, Oct 25 (UNI) The Andhra Pradesh Government has selected 100 Muslim youths for the training programme, by IT major Infosys, under the ''Rajiv Udyogshree'' scheme.
Speaking after distributing five computers each to 19 Madrasas here today, Minorities Welfare Minister Mohd Ali Shabeer said Infosys would also provide suitable placements for the trainees.
As many as 400 computers would be provided to 220 Madrasas, this year, with an aim to increase the youths' chances of getting lucrative jobs, he added.
The government had allocated Rs 1.20 crore this year for various programmes of the State Urdu Academy to improve the socio-economic condition of the Muslim community.
It would open as many as 30 computer centres in different parts of the state.
Thanking Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy for the steps taken for the socio-economic upliftment of the community, Urdu Academy President Raheemuddin Ansari urged the State Government to double the allocation for the Urdu Academy.
