Left intensifies agitation on land distribution

Hyderabad, Oct 25 (UNI) The Left parties today intensified their agitation and laid siege at all collectorates in the state demanding house sites for the poor.

A large number of Communist Party of India (CPI) and Communist Party of India (Marxist) activists staged a demonstration at the Hyderabad Collectorate and submited a memorandum.

CPI(M) State Secretary B V Raghavulu demanded the implementation of the Konera Ranga Rao Committee Recommendations with immediate effect.

He alleged that the state government was not providing house sites to the poor and was filing cases against people who occupied the land for house sites as part of their agitation.
