Give up 'stubborn attitude' over Nuclear deal : Jaswant Singh

Barmer, Oct 25 (UNI) Leader of the Opposition in Rajya Sabha and former External Affairs Minister Jaswant Singh today said the UPA Government at the Centre should give up its ''stubborn attitude'' over the Indo US Nuclear issue.

Talking to reporters here today, Mr Singh alleged that the Government was working with unclear policy on the deal and its stand was being ridiculed in diplomatic circles globally.

Mr Singh said the government had failed even to clear the basic motive of the proposed nuclear deal and should clarify whether the deal was aimed at augmentation of nuclear energy availability or some strategic partnership with the US.

He said the deal had several areas of confusion which did need categorical and specific clarifications.
