First-ever Spain Specialist Workshop in Goa from tomorrow

Panaji, Oct 25 (UNI) The National Tourist Office of Spain, as a part of its annual commercial and marketing mission to India, is organising its first-ever interactive Spain Specialist workshop in Goa, targetting Indian travel trade, from tomorrow.

The four-day workshop opens at Ramada Caravela Beach Resort from tomorrow with a high level Spain business delegation led by Mr.

Enrique Ruiz, Tourism Counselor, Embassy of Spain and Director of National Tourist office of Spain for India, SE Asia, Australia and New Zealand are participating.

The Spanish hospitality showcases in its full fervour in typically relaxed Goan ambience offering epicurean Spain's gastronomical delights prepared by two chefs specially for this event coupled with wine tasting session and golf lessons.

This will be further enhanced by the Spain cultural presentations by highly acclaimed flamenco guitar player Mr Gerardo Nunez and flamenco dancers, embassy sources told UNI here today.

The most special guest honouring the event with his presence will be the Goan artist Mr Mario de Miranda, who travelled to Spain last July on invitation of the Spain Tourism Board.

The 15-member trade delegation participating in the event, includes representatives from Regional Tourism Boards, tour operators and hoteliers.

As many as 90 travel agents and tour operators from all over India, will participate, indicating growing interest among the Indian holidaymakers for Spain, the second world tourism destination with more than 58 million tourists visiting it annually.

The key agenda of the workshop would be focussed exchange on Spain's tourism products, services and destination highlights serving the holiday aspiration of varied travel segment from India, be it leisure, single travellers and honeymooners.
