Chambal Fertilisers Q2 net up 53 % at Rs 59.36 cr

New Delhi, Oct 25 (UNI) Chambal Fertilisers&Chemicals Ltd (CFCL) today said its net profit increased 53.9 per cent at Rs 59.36 crore for the quarter ended September 30 as compared to Rs 38.56 crore for corresponding period last fiscal.

Company's total income dropped 4.4 per cent to Rs 747.26 crore from Rs 782.30 crore in the said period.

CFCL, the KK Birla Group flagship and India's largest urea producer in the private sector, recently received a 'binding bid' from Mumbai-based Temptation Foods for acquisition of the former's food processing business, a statement said.
