Century Textiles Q2 net profit dips to Rs 71.64 cr

Mumbai, Oct 25 (UNI) Century Textiles and Industries today said its net profit has dipped to Rs 71.64 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2007 against Rs 74.79 crore for the same period a year ago.

Total income, however, increased to Rs 784.95 crore for Q2 FY2007-08 as compared to Rs 760.05 crore during the same period a year ago, a release said.

''As a result of cessation of manufacturing operations at the textile mill at Worli, Mumbai, the results for the quarter and half-year ended September 30, 2007 are not comparable with those of previous corresponding periods,'' the release added.
