BJP accuses UPA govt of ignoring northeast

Imphal, Oct 25 (UNI) The BJP unit in Manipur has alleged that the UPA government has ignored the Northeastern region of the country.

''The Look East Policy of Manmohan Singh led UPA government has failed miserably in the NE,'' party media-in-charge B A Sharma said.

He also accused the state government and the administration of failing to improve the situation.

''Manipur has no administration but the armed forces were doing everything. The Centre simply watched and did nothing when the state had turned to a killing field,'' he said adding that if delayed people might divert towards negative things.

''All agencies have paralysed but the only uniform armed forces are guarding the state by throwing their lives. This is perversion of human law,'' he added.
