Badal describes his Finance Minister as 'intelligent'

Chandigarh, Oct 25 (UNI) Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal today described his Finance Minister and nephew, Manpreet Singh Badal as "an intelligent and good minister".

"There is absolutely no problem with Manpreet, everything is going on smoothly", he said while talking to mediapersons on the sidelines of the conference of Forest Ministers and wildife officials of Northern India states here.

"If there are problems, we will solve these", he said when asked about the dismal fiscal picture of the state painted by the Finance Minister due to the heavy dose of subsidies and freebies being doled out to the public.

Regarding the financial crisis gripping the state, Mr Badal said "In the next five years there will be so much of development, which will surpass the development of the last 15 years".

Regarding differences on certain issues with coalition partner, the BJP, Mr Badal said " it is a home affair".
