Asahi Brew says eyes tie-ups, M

TOKYO, Oct 25 (Reuters) Asahi Breweries Ltd wants to aggressively pursue strategic alliances and mergers and acquisitions in the drinks industry, its president Hitoshi Ogita said on Thursday.

Asahi Breweries said earlier it would launch a 7 million tender offer to buy out all minority shareholders in Asahi Soft Drinks Co Ltd as it tries to expand revenues from businesses other than domestic beer, which is seeing a slowdown in sales.
