AMCHAM meets to discuss impeliments for US Cos

Jaipur, Oct 25 (UNI) American Visa issues and several other matters affecting operation of American companies in Asian region, were discussed at the two-day meet of Asian Pacific Council of American Chambers of Commerce which opened here today.

The opening session of the meeting also focussed on issues critical to improving bilateral economic relation between Asian region and USA, AMCHAM Asia Pacific Council Chairman Landis Hicks said.

Mr Hicks told reporters that executive directors of the council from 12 countries, including India, China, Singapore, Bangladesh, and Thailand participated in the deliberations.

The group also delberated on structuring the communication strategies to be put in place by the chamber for closer involvement of Government and business organisation to mutually benefit the economic relations between the two regions.

The is for the first time that council executive directors' meet is being hosted in India, Mr Hicks said.
