Additional daily Deccan flight between Kolkata and Jamshedpur

Mumbai, Oct 25 (UNI) Budget carrier Deccan (erstwhile Air Deccan) today announced the launch of an additional flight from Kolkata to Jamshedpur, which will commence operation from October 28.

The airline already operates a daily service between the two cities. The service, which was started in August has flown over 5,000 passengers over this period, a Deccan official statement said.

The one-hour long new additional flight DN 587 will depart from Kolkata at 0620 hrs and arrive at Jamshedpur at 0720 hrs. The return flight DN-588 will depart from Jamshedpur at 0735 hrs and arrive Kolkata at 0840 hrs.

''In deference to the requests of Jamshedpur citizens, conveyed to us by Muthuraman MD Tata Steel, we have decided to launch an additional morning flight connecting Jamshedpur to Kolkata. The new morning flight, in addition to the existing evening flight will help meet the needs of several corporate travellers, SMEs, professionals and others traveling between these major cities,'' Ramkrishnan Sundaram officiating CEO Deccan said in the statement.
