200 kgs of gunpowder seized, 1 arrested

Lucknow, Oct 25 (UNI) Police today raided a house in Gularia area of Gorakhpur district and seized 200 kgs of gunpowder.

Besides, a large quantity of firecrackers stuffed in five gunny bags were recovered.

One person, identified as Samudra, was arrested in this regard, police said here.

The raid was conducted following a tip-off about the illegal firecrackers unit functioning from the dwelling.

The accused had been sent to jail.
