Showcause notice served against B K Hariprasad and Purushatam Rupala

New Delhi, Oct 24 (UNI) The Election Commission (EC) has slapped show cause notices against two political leaders of Gujarat for violation of Model Code of Conduct (MCC).

According to EC sources, this comprises one member each from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and one from the Congress, They are Purushatam Rupala and B K Hariprasad respectively.

The EC has asked them to reply by 12 noon of october 26, the sources added.
