JK Lakshmi Cement net jumps three folds at Rs 73.50 crore

New Delhi, Oct 24 (UNI) JK Lakshmi Cement has posted a three fold increase in its net profit at Rs 73.50 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2007 from Rs 23.37 crore in the same period previous year, up by 214.50 per cent.

The company's turnover grew by 65 per cent to about Rs 310 crore from Rs 188 crore in the said period last year. It's operating profit also more than doubled to Rs 93.95 crore from Rs 40.26 crore for the quarter ended September 30,2006, a company statement said.

JK Lakshmi Cement produced 8.71 lac MT which is 40 per cent higher over the corresponding quarter of the previous year.

The sales stood at 8.69 lac MT, which was 36 per cent higher over the corresponding quarter.

Company's Managing Director Vinita Singhania said, ''EPS of the company has crossed a record of Rs 45 for the trailing 12 months.

EPS in the current quarter was at Rs 12.88 which is three times higher than Rs 4.18 in the corresponding quarter of the previous year.'' UNI
