S M Krishna to inaugurate a year long Geeta Abhiyan on Oct 28

Hubli, Oct 23 (UNI) Maharashtra Governor S M Krishna would inaugurate a year-long Sri Bhagawad Geeta Abhiyan (Karnataka) in Dharwad on October 28, Abhiyan Hon. President Srimad Gangadharendra Saraswathi Swamiji said today.

Talking to newsmen here, he said that the Abhiyan was aimed at creating awareness among the people from all walks of life in the Society.

Swamiji said that during the year-long programme from October 28 to November 2008, 14th and 15th Chapters of Geeta would be taught to students from Fifth Standard to SSLC in Schools in 12 districts of North Karnataka.

After this, similar Abhiyan would be held in South Karnataka also.
