CII to organise Indo-African trade seminar tomorrow

Ahmedabad, Oct 23 (UNI) The Confederation of Indian Industries (CII) will be organising a day-long 'India-Africa Project Partnership: Showcasing Opportunities' seminar at Taj Residency at Ummed tomorrow.

The Seminar has been organised to promote bilateral trade relations between India and African countries, a CII release said here today.

High-level trade delegations led by ministers, high commissioners, consulates and trade and investment advisors from countries like Ghana, Kenya, Tanzania, Lebotho, South Africa, Nigeria, Zimbawe, Namibia, Ethiopia, Uganda and Mauritius will attend the Seminar, the release stated.

Ghana High Commissioner to India J Bentum Williams will deliver the key-note address while Gujarat Government Industry Commissioner Gauri Kumar will deliver the special address.

The objective of the Seminar is to promote Africa as the investment destination for companies based in Gujarat and also to showcase the emerging business opportunities in African countries like textile, agro and food processing, diamond, gems and jewellery, chemicals, pharmaceuticals and others, the release added.
