Police martyrs commemoration day observed in Kashmir

Srinagar, Oct 21 (UNI) Glowing tributes were paid to martyrs at the Jammu and Kashmir police commemoration day parade here today.

Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad, accompanied by Director General of Police Kuldeep Khoda and other senior officers took general salute and laid wreaths at the memorial of martyrs.

Former Chief Minister and National Conference patron Farooq Abdullah, Leader of the Opposition in the Legislative Assembly Abdul Rahim Rather, CPI(M) leader Mohammad Yousuf Tarigami, Cabinet Ministers, legislators and other senior officials of police and civil administration were present at the Jammu and Kashmir Armed Police complex in Zewan to pay obeisance to martyrs.

Later, a blood donation camp was also organised in which hundreds of police personnel and civilians donated blood.
