President, PM, UPA Chairperson greet nation on Dussehra eve

New Delhi, Oct 20 (UNI) President Pratibha Devisingh Patil, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi today extended their greetings to the people on the occasion of Dussehra, which symbolises the triumph of good over the forces of evil.

In a message, Ms Patil wished for unity and well being of the nation. '' May peace, goodwill and prosperity abound in the country,'' she said.

Dr Singh said he hoped the festival would bring health and happiness to all the countrymen.

On the auspicious occasion, Mrs Gandhi said,'' May this beautiful festival, which celebrates the triumph of truth and righteousness, usher in goodwill, tolerance and understanding among all our people, and peace, prosperity and progress throughout our country.'' Deputy Chairman, Rajya Sabha, K Rahman Khan also expressed his good wishes praying for all round development and economic prosperity for the nation.
