Nitish orders payment of compensation to boat mishap victims'kin
Patna, Oct 20 (UNI)Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar expressed his deep sorrow over the death of eight people in a boat mishap in Noon river in Vaishali district today and ordered payment of requisite compensation to families of the deceased.
In his directive to District Magistrate of Vaishali Pratima Verma, Mr Kumar ordered her to ensure early payment of requisite compensation to the next of the kin of those who lost their lives in the boat tragedy.
Earlier this morning, eight people, including three children and four women, lost their lives when the boat they were travelling in, capsized midstream in Noon river due to turbulent current, near Bariyarpur village under Patepur police station area in Vaishali district.
