Gunner arrested for teacher's killing in Kashmir

Srinagar, Oct 20 (UNI) The Army has arrested a gunner for the accidental firing which caused fatal injuries to a teacher in Chowkibal area of Kupwara district in north Kashmir yesterday, a defence spokesman said today.

He said gunner Mohhammad Tariq had been arrested in connection with the accidental firing which caused fatal injuries to Abdul Rashid Mir, a teacher and resident of Rawatpora in Kupwara district.

The investigation into the incident has started after the Army ordered a court of inquiry, the spokesman added.
