Goa Governor, CM greet people on eve of Dussera

Panaji, Oct 20 (UNI) Governor S C Jamir and chief minister Digambar Kamat today greeted the people of Goa on the eve of Dussera festival, which symbolises the victory of the good over the evil.

Mr Jamir, in his message, urged the people to uphold the age-old, time-tested ideals of love, truth, compassion, patience, honesty, morality and spirituality which, he said, ''can surely give a new dimension to our future progress and prosperity.'' Mr Kamat, in a separate message, urged the people to ''vow to fight evils in our minds and against those amidst society. Let the festival bring a lot of joy and prosperity to people of Goa during the year that follows.'' UNI
