Fake pan masala factory busted, 6 held

Kanpur, Oct 20 (UNI) Police today claimed to have busted a fake pan masala factory and arrested six persons and seized materials worth Rs one crore in this city of Uttar Pradesh.

A factory involved in the manufacture of fake pan masala in the name of popular brands was unearthed yesterday, when a raid was conducted in a joint operation by Special Operation Group of police (SOG) and local police .

Pan masala worth Rs one cr and equipments were recovered from the spot, police said.

The factory has been functioning for the past two years.
