Chautala escapes unhurt in attack by villagers
Jind, Oct 20 (UNI) Former Haryana Chief Minister and Indian National Lok Dal (INLD) leader Om Prakash Chautala escaped unhurt when his motorcade was attacked today by irate villagers at Kandela in Jind district, where nine farmers were killed in police firing during his regime.
The motorcade of Mr Chautala, was stoned by the villagers as it entered Kandela where he was scheduled to address a public meeting.
Mr Chautala and other INLD leaders were forced to leave the village without addressing the rally.
This led to a clash between the villagers and the INLD activists.
An INLD supporter, identified as Ajit, was injured in the clash. He was later referred to PGI, Rohtak.
