Chandigarh Rowers win silver, bronze in Asian Rowing

Chandigarh, Oct 20 (UNI) Two boys of the city won medals in team events in Asian Rowing Championship held at Chung Ju, Korea from October 14-19.

Manjit Singh won one silver medal in the event of Open Coxed Eights (M8+) and one bronze medal in the event of Coxless Pairs (M2-) in 12th Asian Senior Rowing Championships.

Another local boy, Kanav Dosajh a student of Guru Gobind Singh College won bronze medal in Coxless Fours event (JM4-) in 13th Junior Asian Rowing Championship also held at the same time at Chung Ju, Korea.

In the championship India won two Golds, two Silver and four Bronze medals. Around 19 countries participated in the events.
