AP Govt to provide housing loans at 25 paise interest

Kadapa, Oct 20 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy today announced that the government would provide loans to all the beneficiaries of 'INDIRAMMA' housing scheme at an interest rate of 25 paise.

Distributing house pattas to the beneficiaries here, Dr Reddy said the government would provide Rs 40,000 to construct their houses under the scheme. The remaining money would be provided to the beneficiaries through banks as loans at low interest rates. Asserting that every poor family should own a house and the government was moving towards achieving the goal, the Chief Minister said his government would take steps to complete the construction of the houses under INDIRAMMA in one year.
