4 minors raped by youths in Sehra

Betul, MP, Oct 20 (UNI) Four minor tribal girls were raped by 12 youths while they were en route to watch Ramlila at Sehra village, 16 km from this district headquarters.

''The girls were accompanied last night by relatives. The accused, from Sehra, armed with lathis, beat up Sahablal and Pintoo, held them hostage, took the girls to a farm and assaulted them sexually,'' Superintendent of Police V R Mahajan told UNI.

One handicapped girl, studying in ninth standard, escaped the rapists, reached Sehra and alerted villagers.

The accused fled as the villagers approached the site of crime.

A case has been registered against Rajesh, Deviram and Golu Rajjad.
