4 minors raped by youths in MP

Betul, MP, Oct 20 (UNI) Four tribal girls have been raped by 12 youths while the victims were en route to watch Ramlila at Sehra village, 16 km from this district headquarters.

''The girls were accompanied last night by relatives. The accused, from Sehra, were armed with lathis, beat up Sahablal and Pintoo, held them hostage, took the girls to a farm and sexually assaulted them,'' Superintendent of Police V R Mahajan told UNI.

One handicapped girl, studying in the ninth standard, escaped the rapists' clutches, reached Sehra and alerted villagers. The accused fled as the villagers approached. A case was registered against Rajesh, Deviram and Golu Rajjad.
