TSA threatens of economic blockade on national highways in Manipur

Imphal, Oct 19 (UNI) The Thadou Students' Association (TSA) in Sadar Hills under Senapati district of Manipur today announced an indefinite economic blockade on National Highways 39 and 53 from October 23.

TSA Secretary Kipgen said the agitation was in protest against the government's failure to provide proper infrastructure in about 37 schools under Sadar Hills and adequate staff for the schools.

The Secretary said the schools had no proper building and there was acute shortage of teachers.
