Meat trader's abduction; Mob creates ruckus at police station
Bareilly, Oct 19 (UNI) Enraged over the alleged kidnapping of a meat trader, a mob created ruckus at the Baradari police station here this morning.
Police said Mohd Islam (32) of Kazitola in the city was missing since the last five days.
When he could not be traced, a mob gathered at the police station this morning and created ruckus.
Since, the trader was also an office-bearer of the All India Jamaitul Quresh, the police feared the incident could take a communal turn.
Later, police in strength was deployed and the mob was pacified by senior officials.
Meanwhile, four persons, including a dismissed police constable Vichitrapal Singh, Dr Sher Bahadur Gupta, Balmi and Mohd Nabi Pradhan had been arrested in the case.
Investigations were on.
