Delhi-bound Goa Express derails at Margao

Panaji, Oct 19 (UNI) Two bogies of a Delhi-bound goods train derailed near Doodhsagar railway station in Goa this evening.

The train with 55 wagons was carrying iron ore from Ranjitpura mining area near Hubli to Sawanthwadi when its two bogies jumped rails near the station under Hubli-Vasco section of South Western Railway at about 1535 hrs.

The cause of the accident was yet to be ascertained.

Railway authorities told UNI that repair work was on and traffic was likely to be restored between 0100 hrs and 0200 hrs after midnight tonight.
