India to acquire oil block in Nigeria

India"s
acquisition
of
an
oil
block
in
the
oil-rich
Nigeria
would
increase
the
supply
of
the
crude
to
60,000
barrels
a
day
to
the
country.
This was conveyed by PM Manmohan Singh to President Yaradua during bilateral discussions he held with him at the state house in Nigeria when the two countries decided to elevate their relationship to a strategic relationship to cover core areas like defence, energy, health and planning.
