Three arrested, idols worth Rs 1 crore recovered

Hyderabad, Oct 18 (UNI) The city police today arrested three robbers and recovered four antique idols, worth more than Rs one crore and 30 other articles from their possession.

Police said the idols were of Lord Anjaneya, Lord Shiva, Goddess Parvati and Lord Ganesha. The idols and articles were robbed from the temples located on the outskirts of the city.

The robbers were identified as Shaik Saleem, Gafur and Salam. The accused indulged in robbery for the last six months, police added.

The recovered idols were sent to archaeological department to ascertain their value, police added.
