Police team rushes to Mirzapur to identify notorious criminal

Gopalganj, Oct 18 (UNI) A team of Bihar police rushed to Mirzapur in Uttar Pradesh to ascertain the identity of a person claimed by UP police as Satish Pandey allegedly involved in several massacres and kidnappings in Gopalganj district of Bihar.

District police superintendent Rakesh Rathi said here that on receipt of information, the police team had rushed there to asecrtain the indentity of the person arrested by the UP police.

Two policemen, who can recognise Satish, have also been included in the team, he added.

Satish was wanted for long in connection with several murder and kidnapping cases, Mr Rathi said adding state government had also announced cash award of Rs 2.5 lakh to any one providing clue leading to his arrest.
