Pawar skirts mid-term polls issue

Mumbai, Oct 18 (UNI) Union Agriculture Minister and NCP chief Sharad Pawar today refused to comment on the possibilities of mid-term polls in the wake of Congress-Left differences over the Indo-US nuclear deal.

''I will not be able to comment on this issue until I talk to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, who is on a foreign tour at present,'' Mr Pawar told reporters here.

Mr Pawar said the coordination committee will meet on October 22 and added that it was the UPA's responsibility to understand and adjust to the issues raised by the parties, which are supporting it.
