Mathura faces paucity of actors for Ramlila
Mathura, Oct 18 (UNI) Besides being well known for its Raaslila and Ramlila, the city is facing a paucity of actors.
The diversion in youth interest for performing in Ramlila has created a shortage of actors in the place. Ramlila is now being conducted by professional mandlis only.
Ramlilas of this holy city stand no less in importance than that of Varanasi and Ayodhya.
President of Ramlila Committee Krishna Nagar Dharmendra Chug says, '' there is a remarkable dip in the availability of actors due to which professional people participate in such kind of programmes.'' ''But the other fact is...people thronging the place to view Ramlila is increasing day-by-day.'' he adds.
Vice-President of Ramlila Committee Govardhan noted, '' we took the help of Mathura's famous Bhakti Prakash Ramlila Mandal after we failed to hire actors.'' President of Bhakti Prakash Ramlila Madal Shankar Lal Chatuvedi believes his mandli is doing well only by the blessings of God.
''We

special
attention

choosing
actors...only
those
having
interest
in
some
religious
activities
are
preferred.''
