Man held with country-made gun

Tiruchirapalli,Oct 18 (UNI) Police arrested a 32-year-old-man for possessing a country-made gun which caused bullet injuries to his relative when it accidentally went off, at Pudur, a tribal village atop Pachamalai Hills, near here, a few days ago.

Though the incident took place soem time last week, the mater came to the notice to the police from the authorities of a private hospital here where the injured Allimuthu (35) was undergoing treatment.

Following this, police today arrested Mani and seized the gun and ammunition.

Superintendent of Police Rajasekaran has initiated disciplinary action against personnel attached to the Thuraiyur Police Station for failure to take action in the case on time.
